Katherine Ambrose-Miyade, RD/LDN

Kidney Nutritionist

Katherine (Kat) Ambrose-Miyade, a proud Florida State University (FSU) alumna, is a registered dietitian with a board certification in renal nutrition.  With over two decades of experience, Kat began her career in 2002 as an inpatient clinical dietitian at AdventHealth Orlando (formerly Florida Hospital), where she developed expertise in managing nutrition for a variety of complex medical conditions.​

Kat specializes in helping patients manage and prevent kidney stones through personalized dietary strategies. She understands the intricacies of different types of stones, such as calcium oxalate, uric acid, and struvite stones, tailoring recommendations to address each unique cause. From reducing oxalate absorption from foods to optimizing hydration and balancing calcium and citrate intake, Kat works closely with patients to lower their risk and improve their overall quality of life. Her evidence-based approach empowers individuals to make sustainable dietary changes that minimize recurrence.
